During IFAT 2020, the Press Center East is the first place that journalists go to look for relevant information for their coverage of the fair. It also has press compartments where you can display your press folders. If you plan on having folders on display in multiple languages, we recommend renting one compartment per language. A member of our staff will tend to your press compartments during the entire fair and refill them when necessary.

For even better communication of your presence at the fair, you can also give journalists access to your press releases by posting them in electronic press compartments at www.ifat.de. Your press releases will appear in the “For the press” section of our website.

Are you holding a press conference, press gathering or other press event at your stand or somewhere other than the trade-fair center? You can announce these events online in our press calendar under “Services for journalists.” The press calendar is available in the “For the press“ section of the the IFAT website and will be on display at the Press Center East during the entire fair.

Holding a press conference is an effective way to showcase your exhibit for media representatives during IFAT 2020. Take advantage of this chance to inform trade journalists and correspondents from daily newspapers and business magazines about your company and your latest projects. An appropriate room for exhibitor press conferences is available at the Press Center East. Standard equipment includes classroom seating and a public-address system. Additional equipment and catering can be ordered from our service partners. Organizing and actually holding your press conference remain your responsibility.

Minimum rental period: 2 hours

We produce video material and broadcast-ready reports with original statements for the media to use in their radio and TV coverage of the show. Journalists like to use our press material in their reporting. We also make our reports available for download on the IFAT press pages. Inform us about your news or topics. Our experienced TV and radio professionals will check your material for content that is suitable for broadcast, conduct radio or television interviews with representatives of your company and integrate these original statements into our reports.*

To simplify communication between exhibitors and media representatives, we have compiled a directory with the names and contact information of international trade journalists. This trade media directory is available free of charge to download from the Exhibitor Shop. It contains the names of all journalists who have given permission to be included in the directory. The submission deadlines for updates are March 30, April 15, April 27 and April 30, 2020.
